Top 10 SUVs In India – 10. Mahindra XUV700

Let’s start with the 10th position to build up some suspense for the top-position SUVs! So in 10th position, we have the flagship Mahindra SUV – the XUV700! In the previous month, Mahindra managed to sell 9,100 units of the SUV! It is an impressive figure considering the price. Currently, the XUV700 is priced between Rs 16.80 lakh & Rs 31.26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It is one of the most powerful SUVs in the segment which comes with all the advanced features & technology.

9. Kia Sonet SUV

The 9th position has been secured by Kia Sonet. A compact SUV which comes with stylish design & feature loaded interior. In November 2024, Kia sold around 9,255 units of the Sonet SUV. A slight dip from the previous month but is just behind its sibling! The SUV comes with three engine options – 1.2-litre NA petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol & 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Also, it is the only SUV in its segment to offer a torque converter automatic gearbox with a diesel engine. Currently, the Kia Sonet is available between Rs 9.33 lakh & Rs 19.04 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Next, we have Hyundai’s version of the Sonet – the Venue. Compared to the Sonet, Venue boasts a more simple design language and has appealed to the masses. The previous month, Hyundai sold 9,754 units of the Venue to secure the 8th spot. The Venue shares the same platform with the Sonet – including the engine options. However, the Venue does not get an option for an AT gearbox with its diesel engine. As of now, the Venue is priced between Rs 9.30 lakh & Rs 16.16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

7. Maruti Grand Vitara SUV

In 7th position, we have the most expensive Maruti SUV—the Grand Vitara! It is also one of the only SUVs to offer a strong Hybrid powertrain option in the segment. Buyers have shown tremendous love for the SUV, resulting in sales of 10,148 units in November 2024. The SUV is priced between Rs 12.91 lakh and Rs 23.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), but you could get some discounts on the hybrid models.

Top 10 SUVs In India – 6. Mahindra Scorpio-N

The 6th position of the November sales report for SUVs has been secured by the popular Mahindra Scorpio! It is one of the oldest SUVs we have in today’s list. In November 2024, Mahindra managed to sell 12,704 units of the Scorpio nameplate. Yes, the sales include figures of both – Scorpio-N & Scorpio Classic. However, it is the Scorpio-N that draws the majority of sales. Talking about the pricing, the N model is available between Rs 16.64 lakh & Rs 29.84 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Now things get more interesting as we have entered the list of top 5 SUVs! And in the 5th position we have another Maruti SUV – the Fronx. The Fronx is one of the handsome-looking SUVs & the only Maruti product to come with a turbo petrol engine. It gained popularity within no time & even in November 2024, Maruti sold 14,882 units of the Fronx! Along with the turbo petrol unit, the Fronx also offers 1.2-litre NA petrol & CNG powertrain options. Currently, Maruti Fronx is available between Rs 8.71 lakh & Rs 15.24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

If we are talking about popular Maruti SUVs then we simply cannot ignore the Brezza. One more popular Maruti SUV has secured 4th position in today’s list. It is one of the most sorted options in its segment which helped it to achieve the sales figure of 14,918 units. Offered with just one engine option, the Maruti Brezza is the first choice for many buyers. It is a feature-loaded product with a price range of Rs 9.73 lakh & Rs 16.63 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

3. Tata Nexon SUV

After facing serious competition, the Nexon was forced to move beyond 5th position for a few months. However, the SUV has now arrived in the top 5 – in fact in a solid 3rd position. In November 2024, buyers showed a lot of interest in the SUV which helped the brand to sell 15,329 units of the SUV! Not to forget that Nexon was recently launched with a CNG option & more features like panoramic sunroof! Could this be the reason behind its comeback? Tata Nexon is a popular SUV which is priced between Rs 9.40 lakh & Rs 18.72 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Finally! Tata Punch is back to its favourite position where it ruled for several months! In fact, it has secured the 1st position multiple times. That said, it has come to the 2nd spot after many months & could claim the 1st spot in the coming days. In November 2024, Tata successfully sold an impressive 15,435 units of the Punch – falling marginally behind the best-selling SUV! It is the cheapest Tata SUV currently in India which is priced between Rs 7.25 lakh & Rs 12.11 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

1. Hyundai Creta SUV

And here comes India’s favourite SUV which has been the top-selling SUV for straight three months! Undoubtedly the most valuable product for Hyundai as it managed to sell 15,452 units in November 2024! Yes, it is marginally ahead of the Punch but still an impressive number considering the strong competition. It is available with two petrol engines & one diesel engine option. Talking about price, the Hyundai Creta is available between Rs 13.05 lakh & Rs 24.54 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
