The table of top 10 SUVs in November 2024 saw Hyundai Creta heading the pack ahead of Punch, Nexon, Brezza, and Fronx
The SUV segment in India continues to thrive with sales figures in November 2024 reflecting strong year-over-year (YoY) growth for many models. Hyundai Creta leads the charge, registering a 31 percent increase in sales with 15,452 units sold compared to 11,814 units in November 2023. Its versatile powertrain options, feature-rich interior, and consistent updates have made it a favorite in the midsize SUV category. The Tata Punch and Nexon, occupying the second and third spots, demonstrated steady performances. The Punch recorded a 7 percent YoY growth with 15,435 units sold, up from 14,383 last year. Meanwhile, Nexon grew by 3 percent, reaching 15,329 units in November 2024 compared to 14,916 units a year ago.

Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza and Fronx also showcased impressive sales momentum. The Brezza witnessed an 11 per cent increase with 14,918 units sold in November 2024 compared to 13,393 last year. The Fronx, a relatively new entrant, has become a game-changer for Maruti Suzuki, recording a 51 per cent YoY growth with 14,882 units sold, up from 9,867 units in November 2023.

The Scorpio experienced a 4 percent growth with 12,704 units sold while XUV700 saw a 26 per cent increase in volumes, reaching 9,100 units compared to 7,221 last year. On the other hand, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet recorded contrasting fortunes in the month of November 2024.
While Venue’s sales dipped by 13 percent on a YoY basis, selling 9,754 units, the Sonet surged by 44 per cent with 9,255 units sold. Kia will expand its SUV portfolio with the inclusion of the Syros this month and it will be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara also excelled with a 28 per cent increase, selling 10,148 units.

In 2025, the SUV segment will witness the arrival of a number of new models across different price points capitalizing on the popularity.
